Amsterdam Sex Musem Weekend Visit

Last week we were in Amsterdam and after a couple of visits to some "serious" museums, we treated ourselves to the Sex Museum. Aside from the cheapest entrance fee, the theme was not so serious/heavy and that we could still allow some room for enjoyment!

Looking at the museum at this modern age is not that interesting I think that how it was a decade ago and earlier. Everything is online these days but of course, there are so much to learn also from the museum. Like there were those antique "peeping boxes" (I don't really know how they're called) where there are black and white photos of women... maybe in underwear... and pyjamas????!!!

See below possible items that one may see in the Sex Museum of Amsterdam. It's fun to see, it's educational too and it's only for Eur 4,00. ENjoy and have fun!

Enjoying Scheveningen in The Hague, Netherlands

It's not warm but the Scheveningen beach may offer other fun. We visited last week and there were a lot of kites, as usual, and the breeze was not warm but to inhale the breeze sometimes help the health and the change in the type of air breathes. I also posted something about this place some years ago, and a changes are on their way, there are so renovations going on. All the same, the shoreline is still usable without problem, one can enjoy and also the cafeterias and restaurants are there to everyone's rescue. Below are some of the fun moments collection..

The Hague Centrum Fair for Koninginnedag Fun Until a Week Later

After doing the villagers' Flea Market in the morning of the Queen's Day or the Koninginnedag in the Netherlands, we went back home to have our traditional lunch. At 15:00 or at 3 o'clock, we were ready to have fun in the Hague city center for the fair where games and rides were available. With less than Eur 30 (approx  spending, we had so much fun from games and little prices (no rides for us). There were a lot of games, but basically almost the same games years ago as we were there too in 2009, both for kids and adults. Older than adults can also enjoy the plant markets nearby with blooming spering flowery pots and/or fruity pots (I was not able to take photos of a lemon with lots of fruits in a pot and there was also the mandarins beaming with fruits). I also learned that the fair is still available for a few more days after the 30th of April. If this weekend it is still there, I might go back and play again.

Below are some of the phots I took. The image up are some of the little winnings we got... Hearties and a bunny! That is our remembrance for the Dutch Queen's Day 2011 together with some very affordable purchases here from the flea market.

I like thisphoto... and you?
The exciting ride that makes the riders scream their throats out for fun/fear...

The swan (or is that a duck?) does not mind at all...
I like that duck in blue sweater...
There was a thriller/scary house too!
Entrance to the scary place...
I had only 25% success rate here... hit one of the 4 objects... and won the brown hearts up.
For plant lovers' area... this was nearby as well...

Worth Seeing Areas of Nijmegen in Gelderland

Location is Nijmegen, Gelderland Netherlands 2009 It was one weekend and the weather was not perfect but I have to say, it was NOT bad either. My friends/colleagues and I decided (a few weeks back) to explore the city. Yes, the city of Nijmegen may not that big as The Hague or Amsterdam but I was really surpeised that this city is equally worth seeing and it was a whole lot of fun. Thanks to our expert guide, Helma, who's a local blood but all the same, she researched on what we'd gonna see.Certainly the photos posted here are from that weekend (maybe 4 weeks ago) and I can say that the weather now has changed... to a much lower temperature, in short, colder!

nijmegen attractions and the valkofGoing back to that weekend we have had a great time. I can only share the photos of what we say, I think the photos alone indicate that the place, small as it may be, can digest the viewers' eyes as well. And historically? Well, there's the old castle, some parts/section already broken/demolished or missing but it is a lovely feeling toimagine what might have transpired in there centuries back.

The Kronen park and the watch tower..andmany other stuff... even the blackswan, YES, those black swans! It was my first time to see them! I will also post the here in bigger sizes so that everyone can see.
